Florida Eagle in pine tree with Eaglet
We started the new year with Christmas with our families. Andrew and Owen helped put the snow blade on the mower. We worked on small projects and got ready for Feb.
We visited cousins in Atlanta, then went to Marco Island, FL for two weeks in a VRBO. We then went to a VRBO in Cape Coral, FL and met up with cousins from Bainbridge, IN. We then stopped to see Alices sister and her husband for a few days in Bonita Springs and then headed home stopping to briefly see our daughter and the grandkids.
We keep active at church. Alice serves as an Elder, we sing in the choir, are part of an adult class.
Alice stays involved with Rotary.
We pray for those who have been displaced by war. We pray for government leadership and wisdom on all sides and we hope we are not destroying the world we hoped our grand kids would inherit.
We do not know what the future may bring. We are hoping things settle down on a world and national basis. We are trying to plan to do some things other than sit at home if everything falls into place.
We continue to sell lapidary products at Gallery on the Square in Danville. Bob polishes rocks and Alice does creates some necklaces, rings and the marketing.
We hope to participate in the Plainfield Library Art Fair at the end of April.
We spent time in January with Scott's family at a Brown County cabin. In Feb we traveled South to Florida. In July, we took the entire family to Hilton Head and came back through Charlotte. In October, we went to NC to see the mountains, turning leaves, and family. In Nov. we went to FL to share Thanksgiving with Julie's family and to see Erin in the musical Footloose.
We finished landscaping our back yard and patio and we had the front yard landscaped. We grew our herb garden and raised garden in the back yard. We planted flowers, zucchini, eggplant, beets, lettuce, peppers, and tomatoes along with several herbs. Wherever there was an open spot, Bob planted a tomato or another rhubarb plant.
We keep active at church. Alice serves as an Elder, we sing in the choir, are part of an adult class and have done a lot via Zoom this year.
Alice stays involved with Rotary .She chairs the committee that raises awareness and member contributions for the international Rotary Foundation, serves on several tasks forces and makes a lot of phone calls.
Covid has changed life but we have worked to become part of our new neighborhood. We're on a cul-de-sac with sidewalks and enjoyed Halloween seeing the kids dressed up and out with their parents and that they know our names.
We celebrated by taking our family to Hilton Head, making anniversary presents for each other and going out to dinner with each brother, sister, and best man and maid of honor.
We continue to sell lapidary products at Gallery on the Square in Danville. Bob polishes rocks and Alice does creates some necklaces, rings and the marketing.
We both like to take pictures and Bob loves to put enlargements on our walls.
